At Home Instead, our mission was to enable the elderly to continue to age in place in their own homes. We assisted with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, making meals, taking clients to and from appointments, and providing companionship to ensure the senior remained safe.

Avis did an outstanding job of recruiting and hiring caregivers. Being a caregiver requires a certain personality and an ability to empathize with the plight of the client without being demeaning. Many of our clients had dementia or Alzheimer’s which could be difficult. Avis had an interview style that could easily identify those who would be successful as caregivers and those who would not.
